Orlando is a new way of imagining how opera is created: decentralized, interactive, by interweaving different art genres and spontaneous. It is conceived as a series of different musical theater workshops which will be assembled as a kaleidoscopic public performance by and with young people.

The Orlando Project brings together professional artists and young adults from different European countries, building bridges between different cultural backgrounds by discovering the transformative power of opera and changing perspectives on the present and the future.

The riverboat Orlando with a mobile opera stage will navigate the European waterways, drawing new imaginary cartographies of European territories through her itineraries, leaving her mark of diverse artistic gestures, unity and humanism along the way.
